Research Agenda: Building Smart, Resilient, and Healthy Communities through Inclusive Research
At DMI St. Eugene University, we are steadfast in our pursuit of bold perspectives that
challenge conventional thinking and inspire transformative action. Our research ethos is
anchored in collaborative innovation, where knowledge is not merely generated but co-
created with communities, partners, and institutions, both local and global.
We actively engage with the world’s most pressing challenges, including social inequality,
environmental sustainability, and the transformational potential of emerging
technologies, through interdisciplinary research that seeks to deliver practical, inclusive,
and long-lasting solutions.
In alignment with Zambia’s Eighth National Development Plan (8NDP: 2022–2026), we
are deeply committed to community development and national progress. Our research
efforts are focused on key priority areas such as economic transformation, job creation,
human capital development, good governance, and climate resilience. Through
innovation and inquiry, we support Zambia’s vision of becoming a prosperous middle-
income country by 2030.
By forging strong partnerships with communities, organizations, and international networks,
we aim to ensure that our work brings meaningful impact not just for today, but for
generations to come. Together, we are building a future where research drives justice,
resilience, and opportunity across Zambia, Africa, and the world.
