About St.Eugene university & DMI

DMI landed in Republic of Zambia on the invitation of the Zambian Episcopal Conference and the Late Medardo J. Mazombwe, Archbishop of Lusaka. DMI – St.Eugene University started functioning in 2007, from Archbishop Medardo J.Mazombwe Campus, at Woodlands. The Founder Chancellor Rev. Fr. Dr. J. Emmanuel Arulraj, named the University after Saint Eugene De Mazenod, the Founder of Oblates of Mary Immaculate, (OMI).

The African Mission

DMI expanded into Zambia in 2007, invited by His Eminence Cardinal Polycarp Pengo. With leaders like Dr. T. X. A. Ananth and Dr. Ignatius A. Herman, DMI spread its mission across East and Central Africa, establishing universities, hospitals, and schools.

Institutions are now active in Zambia and Malawi, with missions expanding to Ethiopia and South Sudan.
