Directorate of Quality Assurance
Promoting quality culture, accountability, and continuous improvement at DMI St. Eugene University in Zambia.
The Directorate of Quality Assurance is mandated to establish, implement, and monitor
internal quality assurance systems at DMI St Eugene University in compliance with the
Higher Education Authority of Zambia and other relevant statutory and professional bodies.
The Directorate ensures that academic programmes, teaching and learning processes,
assessment practices, research activities, and support services meet approved standards and
are subject to continuous review and improvement.
The Directorate develops institutional quality assurance policies, guidelines, and performance
indicators that provide a coherent framework for quality management across all academic and
administrative units. It coordinates programme accreditation, re-accreditation, and review
processes, ensuring that curricula, learning outcomes, staffing, facilities, and assessment
methods align with national qualification frameworks and HEA standards.
Through systematic monitoring, evaluation, and internal audits, the Directorate supports
evidence-based decision-making and institutional accountability. It promotes a culture of
quality enhancement by facilitating capacity building, stakeholder feedback mechanisms, and
continuous improvement processes.
The Directorate works closely with University management, faculties, and regulatory bodies
to ensure sustained compliance, risk mitigation, and institutional readiness for external audits
and inspections, thereby safeguarding the academic integrity and public credibility of the
University.
