Bachelor of Education (Earlychildhood Education)

Key Knowledge and Skills to be Acquired:

Students gain a deep understanding of early childhood physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development, enabling them to support children’s holistic growth.

Learners acquire skills to design, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate curricula for children aged 0–8, focusing on play-based and experiential learning.

Students learn age-appropriate teaching methods, behavior management strategies, and techniques to create safe, inclusive, child-centered learning environments.

Learners develop the ability to observe, assess, and document children’s progress using child-friendly and culturally sensitive assessment tools.

Students gain skills in selecting and using creative learning materials, storytelling tools, manipulatives, and digital resources to enhance early learning experiences.

Learners understand how to collaborate with parents, caregivers, and communities to support children’s development and promote inclusive, culturally responsive education.

Requirements

Secondary school or Statement with 5 O' level Credit or better and that should include Maths,English, Science or Biology and any other two subjects.

Course description

The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) is a specialized program designed to equip students with professional knowledge and practical skills to support the learning and development of children from birth to eight years. The program focuses on child development, play-based learning, early literacy and numeracy, curriculum design, classroom management, assessment approaches, and the integration of educational technology in early learning settings. Students develop strong competencies in creating safe, inclusive, stimulating environments that nurture curiosity, creativity, and foundational learning skills. Emphasis is placed on child-centered pedagogy, family and community engagement, and ethical teaching practices. Graduates are prepared for careers as early childhood teachers, preschool coordinators, child development practitioners, or educational facilitators in early learning institutions.
